What inspired you to work in Wellness/Fitness?
This is my second career. I have connected decades of work in athletics, coaching, and fitness into a job that helps people every day.

What do you enjoy most about working at the Wellness Center?

Finding those methods that can help members achieve their fitness goals.

Favorite way to stay active or healthy?

Somehow I am now almost 60, so I train very differently than I did as a younger person.  I combine hypertrophy-based resistance training with traditional cardiovascular work, intervals/metabolic conditioning, and active recovery.

Fun Fact About You:
I was a cultural historian specializing in ethnogenesis, social roles, and mythology during the Roman Empire and medieval Europe.

Go-To Pump-Up Song or Motivation Boost:
I can always play Dirt of Your Shoulder by Jay-Z, Faster by the Black Crowes, or Remember the Name by Fort Minor to get a little amped up. Also, I really really like the Cult. You cannot go wrong in a gym with AC/DC, Motorhead, or a little punk.
